Socami Industry SA is a joint initiative between two Cameroonian entrepreneurs and Reuse Trading NV in Belgium. Reuse Trading NV is a trading company specialized in industrial chemicals and tropical oils. Guided by its vision to be a “Bridge to Progress in Emerging Countries”, the idea of establishing an industrial structure in Cameroon together with local partners, with the goal of contributing to sustainable development in Africa, emerged naturally.
This vision began to take shape in 2022 with the acquisition of land in Yapouma, Douala. Leveraging Reuse Trading’s experience in the palm oil sector, the project evolved into the creation of a Kernel Crushing Plant (KCP) dedicated to processing local palm kernel nuts. The expertise of our Cameroonian partners in industry, circular economy, and import-export logistics reinforced our confidence this was the right direction.
From sourcing palm kernels from village plantations to producing export-grade palm kernel oil, Socami Industry supports sustainable development at every stage of the value chain.
This initiative will enable us to source and process a broad range of cracked and uncracked palm nuts from across the country, collaborating with local farmers, regional cooperatives, and industrial players creating value and fostering economic growth in the region.
