Socami Industry is establishing a palm kernel crushing plant (KCP) in Douala to produce Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO). The facility will integrate a nut polishing drum, a kernel cracker, a drying silo, a fully integrated 40 ton per day kernel crushing plant and two 250-ton oil storage tanks for freshly produced Crude Palm Kernel Oil.
Most of the palm kernels will be sourced from small farmers and village plantations, complemented by supplies from industrial producers. The oil will be sold locally and exported internationally, generating foreign currency flows and strengthening local value chains.
